The lack of a HUD and the significantly reduced health really ratchets up the tension. Every single shot counts, and you’ve got to be on your toes at all times. One wrong move, and you’re out of the game. The high stakes really force you to play more methodically, and it’s made me rethink how I approach every encounter. You can’t just rush in guns blazing like in standard modes—you’ve got to plan your attacks carefully.
A great addition is the updated weapon balancing. Some of the heavier guns that felt a bit too strong in previous iterations have been toned down to give a more even playing field. I’ve noticed that smaller weapons like the UMP45 and MP5 are now even more viable, and that’s added an interesting dynamic to the gameplay. It's great that the devs continue to adjust things to keep Hardcore fresh.

It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you’re into high-stakes, adrenaline-pumping combat, it doesn’t get better than Hardcore.
