A recent Reddit post from user "PhantomHider" showcased a hilarious—and borderline ridiculous—strategy that somehow resulted in a victory for the props. In the video, a player, disguised as a small trash can, decided to take the most unusual hiding spot imaginable. Instead of just blending in with the environment, they placed themselves on top of an incredibly small ledge in a completely open area. It sounds like the perfect recipe for getting caught, right? But, miraculously, the hunters never noticed. In fact, they spent the majority of the round running right past the prop, never once realizing it was out of place.
What made this strategy so effective was not just the clever hiding spot but the player's complete stillness. Most props, when they hide in plain sight, will at least try to move around or hop between locations to confuse the hunters. But this player stayed completely still, blending in with the environment so well that the hunters couldn’t see them even as they checked the area multiple times.
In the end, the props won the round, and the hunters were left scratching their heads. It’s a prime example of how sometimes, the most outlandish strategies can work in Call of Duty.
